Killer sounding and looking kit! It combines Yamaha's precision craftsmanship with the warm, attenuated sound of birch. Rich finishes adorn deeper and thinner 8-ply shells with 1.6mm triple-flange steel hoops and birch (outer ply), Philippine mahogany, and falkata construction. Yamaha's Air Seal System used for shell construction ensures each and every shell is of uniform thickness and is perfectly round to achieve superior tone quality and durability.

Nouveau lugs are attached to the shell by fiber-reinforced composite bolts at 2 points by a unique floating design that reduces vibration damping. It also makes changing heads easier since you don't have to remove the tuning bolts. Rack toms feature the Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System (YESS) mounting system that allows attachment of the drum to the tom holder without the need of a hole in the drum shell for the rod to pass through. The ball-clamp triple tom holder gives total freedom in positioning and superior stability. The bass drum features matching wood hoops and sturdy hexagonal bass drum spurs. Includes wood snare with Nouveau lugs.
